Advisor Spotlight: Beth Concha | REALTOR®

  • Let's start with your name: Beth Concha
  • In three sentences or less tell us a little bit about yourself. I'm a Denver native who loves helping people buy and sell homes. I have a Master of Architecture degree and have worked for several local architecture firms. I have 2 amazing kids and I'm obsessed with flipping houses!
  • Tell us a little bit about how you got started in real estate. I've always loved houses. From as young as ten, I remember asking my dad to drive me around different Denver neighborhoods just so I could stare at the beautiful houses and imagine what they looked like inside. This interest never faded and I went to CU for my Bachelor's in Environmental Design and my Master of Architecture degree. I worked for several Denver architecture firms until I got my real estate license in 2012. While I loved the design aspect, I couldn't see myself working a 9 to 5 office job forever. I wanted to be my own boss, be out touring homes, meeting people, and helping them buy and sell these homes. Real estate isn't easy, and definitely isn't always as fun and glamorous as they make it seem on tv, but I have a knack for it and can't imaging doing anything else!
  • What are your areas of expertise? First-time home buyers, move-up buyers that need to sell/buy concurrently, investors, and affordable housing programs for buyers
  • What are some of your favorite things to do when you aren't helping clients buy or sell real estate? I love being outdoors, hiking, traveling, live music, trying new restaurants, bachata dancing, rollerblading with my 10 year old daughter and spending time with my family.
  • What are some of your favorite architectural styles? I'm fascinated by both Art Deco and Art Nouveau, which is funny because they are so opposite. When it comes to residential style, I love a sprawling modern ranch.
  • What would you be doing if you were not helping people buy or sell real estate? Designing homes
  • If you could meet anyone living or dead, who would it be? Antoni Gaudi, and my paternal grandparents.
  • What advice do you have for anyone looking to sell or buy right now? For buyers: working with a reputable LOCAL lender is key! Someone who communicates with all parties and can be reached out of normal business hours. This might make the difference between getting your offer accepted or not. Also, take advantage of this market and negotiate a rate buy down from the seller to lower your interest rate! For Sellers: pricing your home just right will bring offers. Overpricing almost never works.
  • Lastly, what is your favorite thing about working in real estate? My favorite thing is getting to meet so many great people, and creating lasting friendships with my clients. I also love that every deal is so different and I'm always learning something new. And getting to the closing table with that first-time buyer that thought they'd never be able to own a home, that's a great feeling.
